Netskills will be running the following workshops at Newcastle University in March
1. Writing for the Web, 20th March

What is so different about writing for the web? The ability to write and re-purpose content for the web is an important skill. This workshop will explore a range of proven practical techniques that you will be able to take away and apply directly to your own online content.
2. Information Skills & Staff Development, 21st March
-----------------------------------------------------
This workshop will provide the opportunity to consider how you and your institution currently address information skills (i-Skills) staff development, and develop strategies for improvement.
This workshop is available to employees from the Further & Higher Education and Adult Community Learning sectors for the reduced rate of only £45.
3. Blogs, Wikis & Social Networking, 22nd March

This practical workshop aims to get beyond the hype and show what Blogs, Wikis and other social software tools can do for you, whether you are a publisher or consumer of web-based information.
4. Effective e-Learning With Moodle, 23rd March
-----------------------------------------------------
This workshop introduces Moodle, its main features and demonstrates why Moodle is different from other learning environments. You will be given access to your own installation of Moodle for 4 weeks after this workshop.
5. CSS: A Complete Web Style Toolkit, 27th March

Developed in response to customer demand this brand new one-day workshop and offers a complete, practical guide to Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) - the standards-compliant to deliver professional-looking, accessible and cost-effective web content.
6. e-Learning Essentials, 28th – 30th March
-----------------------------------------------------
This new course offers three days of training that will help you develop the knowledge and skills you need to create high-quality, pedagogically aligned e-Learning. Although intensive, the course is based on the informal and flexible approach that makes Netskills training so successful. It also provides an accelerated route to completing the Netskills/BTEC Professional Development Certificate in e-Learning.
7. Interactive Whiteboards & Audience Response Systems, 29th March

Explore the possibilities provided by interactive whiteboards and audience response systems. Investigate their pedagogic and curricular implications, gain a grounding in their main features and acquire practical experience in using them.
