The University of Birmingham is now recruiting for the September 2007 intake of the Masters in Public Health Programme, directed by Dr Tom Marshall at the Department of Public Health & Epidemiology.
This is a highly successful course with an international reputation, available since 1994. It offers development of public health skills and knowledge in both breadth and depth, through a modular course comprising core and option components, and a final year research project.
It attracts applicants from a wide range of professional backgrounds and a large number of international applicants. The course is offered on a full-time, part-time or flexible basis, and additionally a smaller number of modules can be chosen to create a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma.
Examples of some of the modules offered are: epidemiology, statistics, healthcare evaluation, health promotion, environmental health, communicable disease, management, health economics, public health in developing countries.
