www.e-assessment-question.co.uk
We are delighted to say that we can now give further news about the
Institute of Educational Assessors (IEA) Forum ‘Developing an e-Assessment
Strategy’ at this years e-Assessment Question, Conference and Exhibition.
This will feature a panel including
Michelle Alpren, QCA
Malcolm Batchelor, JISC
Stuart Jones, BeCTA
Emeritus Professor Fred McBride, Alta Systems (NI) Ltd
Kathleen Tattersall, IEA Chair
Martyn Ware, SQA
and be chaired by Colin Deal.
They will answer questions and lead discussion on subjects as diverse as
technophobia and public perception to quality assurance and impact of the
technology on assessment.
The forum is sponsored by the Institute of Educational Assessors (
www.ioea.org.uk ) The Institute of Educational Assessors is an independent
professional body committed to maintaining and improving the quality of
assessment, by working with others to offer professional support and
development for the assessment community, thereby sustaining and increasing
public confidence in assessment standards and practices.
Now in its FIFTH year, the e-Assessment Question is the Conference and
Exhibition examining the practical aspects of e-Assessment and Computer
Based Testing and Assessment, and its use in education, training and
professional development.
Assessment inevitably sets the agenda for learning and training. Similarly
e-Assessment will define the processes, the quality, the timing and the
location for the achievement of qualifications and the recognition of
learning in the 21st century.
The conference will debate the challenge of how to make these developments
efficient, trusted and cost-effective whilst retaining the validity and
reliability of the assessments and minimising the impact on the learners and
on those delivering the assessments.
The diverse and stimulating programme at this years conference will amply
demonstrate the theme of the conference - ‘Not just Technology but also
People’.
We trust you or one of your colleagues will be able to join us for what will
certainly prove to be an invaluable and thought-provoking two days.
Full details can be found on our website www.e-assessment-question.co.uk
which includes information on discounts for those delegates from
