Subject: Adjustments for various disabilities
Im a pharmacy undergrate student in aston university (final year!), and I
have this big project based on disabilites.
Just wondering if you know any booklets/websites/books that provide a
rationale/justification why certain disabled students are provided with
their reasonable adjustments, for example, a dyslexic student get extra
time in exams as they have slower writing speed than average, etc.
I need these rationales to explain why adjustments are required for
various disabilities for my project, but im having trouble researching on
that. I can only find them on dyslexic, not any other disability like
deafness, visual disturbance, medical condition, etc.
I have looked up on various websites including RNID, univeristies'
disabled centre, SENDA, DEMOS but they are all mostly based on the legal
side of disability discrimination, which is not what i really require!
I would really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction
to find out all this information as I cannot seem to find much!
