When I test, I can make DNA templates just fine. So I'm a bit stuck.
Also I'm bit baffled because a TclError, which presumably comes from the
GUI, has made its way down into the depths of the molecule creation code,
which is entirely API, and nothing to do with the GUI.
I suspect that the GUI notification system is screwing up just
after the molecule validity check, when there is a glut of changes for
the GUI to respond to. Is this consistently repoducable, and does it
depend upon which windows are open, or have focus?
