This half-day event will raise awareness of digital curation issues and
highlight the latest results of the DCC's work in this area. Key digital
curation issues will be introduced alongside best practice advice for
providing long-term access to digital resources. Vital to the long-term
access to digital resources is continued research and development of tools
and services that the DCC undertakes, information about this work will be
provided. Projects local to Exeter will be discussed allowing them to share
their challenges and solutions. By providing this forum it is hoped that
attendees will benefit from contact with others locally and nationally
involved with digital curation. This event is aimed at representatives from
local institutions, archivists, software developers and people from
commercial and government organisations with an interest in digital
curation, digital preservation and interested in sharing and learning more
about these issues.

The Information Day will include a presentation on 'Virtual Archives and
Exhibitions: Real Problems, Real Solutions' by Gary Stringer and Jessica
Gardner, featuring the online Dartmoor Archive and EVE (Everyone's Virtual
Exhibition: an image rich catalogue and e-learning tool for the University
of Exeter's film museum).
