Vacancy for an Archive Assistant

Lothian Health Services Archive, Edinburgh University Library
Salary: UKP£13,524 – £15,133
Fixed-term appointment for 6 months (1.0FTE) or 12 months 0.5FTE
Closing date for applications: 23rd February 2007.

You will assist Lothian Health Services Archive staff with a variety of 
archival and administrative tasks. The post will involve re-ordering and 
listing of LHSA collections and basic preservation work.

You must be capable of fulfilling the physical requirements of this role, 
which include lifting and a high level of manual dexterity. Good 
communication skills and an accurate and methodical approach are 
essential. Experience in a library, archive or museum environment would be 
advantageous.

The post may be suitable for a candidate with an interest in  
archives/conservation wishing to gain relevant experience
