1. Association news

1.1  A warm welcome to the following organisations which have recently

1.2  Emerge project

ALT is delighted to be part of the new, two-year Emerge project, in a 
consortium led by Oxford Brookes with Essex University, King's College 
London and a network of leading practitioners. It is funded under the 
JISC Users and Innnovation strand of the capital funding programme. Its 
aim is to support teachers and learners in taking advantage of some of 
the new web-based technologies (Web2.0). Marion Samler, ALT Operations 
Manager, is representing ALT on the steering committee, which met this 
week. We will keep you updated as the project develops.

3.1 Sloan-C news: New report on blended learning in USA
A pre-publication review draft of Blending In: The Extent and Promise of
Blended Education in the United States has been posted to:

online learning as well as a special analysis of consumer preference data
collected by Eduventures.
