Medical Statistician (vacancy ref. 12976)

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic postdoctoral research
assistant in biomedical statistics, who wishes to develop their academic
career by working on a challenging and stimulating research program
addressing an important area of public health, namely osteoporosis. This
post has arisen following award of a Wellcome Trust grant to examine the
relationship between activity levels and skeletal development in 15
year-old children from the unique ALSPAC birth cohort. As well as joining
the research team based at the Rheumatology Unit, Department of Clinical
Sciences at South Bristol, you will have strong links with the Department
of Social Medicine, which serves as the host department for ALSPAC.
If successful, you may be appointed either on a fixed term or a permanent
contract depending on the extent of your previous relevant research
experience.
Grade : Grade 1A
Salary : £21,050-£31,840
