Professor in Operational Research
Applications are invited for the post of Professor in Operational Research
in the School of Mathematics, University of Southampton. We are seeking
to appoint someone having an outstanding record of research leadership in
stochastic modelling, and with research interests in developing new
methodology and in applications to practical problems. Exceptionally
strong candidates from any other area of Operational Research will be
considered seriously.
The University is in the top ten of research-led universities in the UK
for both research quality and research income. In the 2001 Research
Assessment Exercise, all the units of assessment within the School of
Mathematics were rated 5.
The closing date for applications is 26 February 2007. Interviews will be
held in the week beginning 30 April 2007.
