Description: E-learning is an increasingly popular approach for delivering
learning and teaching events and activities. There are many myths and
debates surrounding the concept and its relevance to library and
information workers. This workshop, the first in a series, will provide a
pragmatic introduction to e-learning in library and information services.
It will enable participants to make an informed choice about the benefits
of e-learning for their organisation, and it will enable them to plan for
successful e-learning activities and programmes.
Further Information: A one-day taster on e-learning for staff in Library
and Information Services across sectors. No prior knowledge of e-learning
design or delivery is required. The programme is suitable for managers,
prospective developers and those actively involved in supporting learners.
