Dear All
Thanks to those who have been in contact with regard to:
> The documentation is not clear about the need for an approval
> signature from your department leader (if outside CCLRC) and I am
> seeking clarification, this also applied to the travel request which
> most of you will already have submitted.
First of all I'm told by Winnie that:
"On the Application for Overseas Visit there isn't a "department leader" anywhere but there is a "Budget Holder Approval" required."
Robin Middleton has confirmed with me that he is one of those who can give the required approval and that this task is not delegated to any institutes outside CCLRC for the project code most of you will book against. Once he (or another person at CCLRC with authorization to sign) has given financial approval the form will go to the PPD Director for final sign-off.
If I have any of this wrong or it is still confusing I'm sure someone will comment and/or correct me!
Regards,
Jeremy
