Title: Postdoctoral Fellowship
Department: Psychology, University of Bath
Description: We are seeking to appoint a post doctoral fellow to
investigate the neural bases of economic and consumer decision making.
The research will employ fRMI (functional magnetic resonance imaging)
techniques to identify neural signals in the brain associated with
financial decision making with the long term aim of providing
physiological interpretations of economic and purchasing behaviour.
The fellowship is funded by the Great Western Research South West
regional development fund for three years starting as soon as possible
in 2007 and will be carried out in conjunction with the Peninsula
Imaging Centre at the University of Exeter.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline as well as
substantial experience in the analysis of fRMI. The fellow will play a
key role in the development of an analysis group in the South West
region with opportunities to collaborate with industry. A willingness to
develop an interest in neuroeconomics and economic psychology is essential.
Successful completion of the fellowship will lead to permanent
membership of the Department of Psychology (subject to normal criteria
