Good explanantion, I think you are right, but what does 'problematising the
public' mean? I found this:-
Problematize
\Prob"lem*a*tize\, v. t. To propose problems. [R.] ``Hear him
problematize.'' --B. Jonson.
Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary, © 1996, 1998 MICRA, Inc.
So are they suggesting a conference to propose problems to the public? Or
are they suggesting that the public are the problem? Or perhaps its just the
word 'public' thats a problem - too straightforward.
I think i'll give this one a miss.
Julie
I think it was saying:
"if you are an academic, and you've done a piece of research (roughly in
this area), and have got some results, and want to get a blip on your
cv, and you want to spend a couple of days talking to your mates then
send us an abstract"
But I may be wrong....

Actually I didn't understand any of that advert - I wonder if its worth
having it translated?

Enough said!
Perhaps a bit more practitioner focus would lead to more insight into
the public, thereby 'solverating' the problematising?
Have fun!
