The BIG Event 2007
The British Interactive Group (BIG) is an organisation for individuals
involved in all aspects of hands-on exhibitions and activities. BIG aims to
improve understanding of the potential of hands-on and the role it can play
in may contexts, to encourage high professional standards and act as a voice
for all people working with interactivity. (Visit our website at
www.big.uk.com)
The BIG Exec is pleased to announce that this year's Event will be held from
25-27 July 2007 at Magna Science Adventure Centre. Keep up to date with all
the Event details on the BIG website at www.big.uk.com/events or join the
mailing list by sending an email to [log in to unmask]
The BIG Event is relevant not only for people running science centres and
museums, but for artists, presenters, archaeologists, educators, students,
front of house staff, evaluators and anyone involved in interactive
communication whatever their field.
CALL FOR SESSION PROPOSALS
The BIG Executive Committee is currently seeking proposals for sessions at
the 2007 Big Event. Sessions on a broad spectrum of topics related to
interactivity, (theory and practice) are invited. We wish to include
sessions from a wide variety of hands-on related fields, and creative /
non-traditional ideas are welcome.
We also welcome shows, workshops, and make & take activities. If you have a
new show or workshop you wish to pilot in front of a critical yet
sympathetic audience, or maybe have an old favourite that you would like to
dust off, then come to the BIG Event to share experiences.
If you are interested in taking an active role in this year's BIG Event,
then email a draft title for your proposed session, a brief description (up
to 75 words), and details of likely participants to Savita Custead, BIG
Event Coordinator, at [log in to unmask]
Deadline: January 31st, 2007
