Subscribers to e-mail lists, such as this one, can go to the list's website
and change their own settings, for example if they are going on holiday and
need to temporarily suspend ther subscription, or if they wish to
unsubscribe.
Rather than expecting the administrator to do these simple administrative
tasks for you, you can do it yourself, and save yourself a lot of time and
aggravation. Anyone with enough savvy to get on this list, ought to be able
to help themselves off of it, in my grumpy and not so humble opinion.
For this particular list, the URL to go to is:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/MIDWIFERY-RESEARCH.html
You can bookmark it on your web browser, or include it in your address book
on the electronic index card for the Midwifery Research List. This is also
the same URL to use if you want to browse the list archives, something you
will doubtless be eager to do on your return from any absence, to make sure
nothing of vital importance to midwifery research has been posted while you
were relaxing in the Maldives or trekking across Greenland on skis, or,
Heaven forbid, finishing your dissertation.
