Dear Colleagues
You are invited to a free tutorial on Moving Picture Experts Group 21 -
Digital Item Declaration Language (MPEG 21 - DIDL), a content packaging
standard, which is being run by Frances Knudson from the Los Alamos
National Library on Wednesday 31st of January 2007 in Bristol, UK.
In this tutorial Frances Knudson will provide an overview of the MPEG-21
DID specification and discuss the questions to consider when creating a
DID structure for bibliographic data, intellectual issues, and expansion
of the DID for non-bibliographic data. In addition, we will walk through
the process of creating DID models for several data types.
Frances Knudson has worked at the LANL (Los Alamos National Laboratory)
Research Library for over 15 years.
Currently, her projects are focused exclusively on the library's repository.
The tutorial is for anyone interested in creating MPEG 21 DIDL packages.
There are limited spaces so book early!
