Corporate GIS Service is developing rapidly and we need the right person
to strengthen this momentum.
We are looking for someone to:
1. Assume responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Intranet web
mapping (ESRI’s ArcIMS) application and the “Find My Nearest” public-
facing web mapping application (ESRI’s ArcIMS).
2. Develop innovative new web mapping applications.
3. Enhance existing corporate web mapping applications.
4. Together with the Oracle Administrator, manage the maintenance and
delivery of corporate spatial data.
5. Carry out ad hoc MapBasic development.
Self-motivation, commitment to achieving results within a team structure,
the ability to handle a large workload and excellent communication skills
are essential. In return you will join a dynamic and motivated team
dedicated to providing excellent GIS services across the Council and to
the people of Islington.
