Hi FSL users,
I'm contemplating using FSL to conduct some DTI analysis. We've alrady
looked at another analysis approach, but it hasn't been hugely sucessful. I
apologise for the simplicity of the following questions.
I have data from a Philips 3T scanner, the DTI consists of 70 slices over
the whole brain, with 34 directions. We also conducted a further DWI scan
to acquire another B=0 dataset. We have two groups of data correcponding to
an experimental group and an age-, sex-, IQ-matched control group.
The step taken after that was to put both DTI and DWI scan data together and
generate one large ANALYZE file. We then used DTIStudio to generate the FA
maps and saved the B0 scan. Our plan had then been to use SPM to spatially
normalise the B0 data to their EPI template, then conduct statistical
analyses on the grouped data. Unfortunately the spatial normalising doesn't
seem very robust.
I'm presuming that something like this can be done using FDT. Is it
possible to use FSL on FA data generated in another package, or should one
just use FSL from the start? Also, I've looked at the FAQs, but I was
wondering if there was a step-by-step guide to using FDT for newbies who
don't have much analysis knowledge!
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Best wishes
Suzanna
