Hi,
First is easy:
avwroi input_image output_image n 1
NB: FSL counts from 0, so the third volume would have n=2
Second is harder.
Easiest way is:
avwroi input_image output1 0 n
avwroi input_image output2 n+1 m-n-1
avwmerge -t output_image output1 output2
