Dear All,
There are places remaining for participants in a Forum on E-support
for teaching the ancient languages (Leeds Humanities Research Institute,
11am-4pm Friday 19th January 2007).
The meeting will bring those interested in e-support for teaching
ancient languages together with invited participants who have experience
in designing, programming and administering e-support from whole modules
to on-line exercises to vocabulary quizzes or 'extra grammar questions'
in a VLE. There will be opportunities to share experiences and expertise
to benefit your own projects and/or nascent interests. Command of jargon
NOT essential.
The History, Classics and Archaeology Subject Centre is sponsoring the
event in order to put together a snapshot of current provision in this
area to assist with the effective allocation of funds secured under the
JISC DeL II initiative.
Programme

initiatives (Eleanor OKell, Classics Project Officer, and,
Cary MacMahon, JISC and E-learning Support Officer)

4.30pm Tuesday January 16th, to secure lunch. Notification of attendance
after that date is fine, but may not guarantee lunch.
If you are not able to attend the day I would very much appreciate your
thoughts on the above issues by email.
Very many thanks,
Yours sincerely,
Eleanor
