My point referred to him being a fairly major public figure making such a 
complaint (regarding the crocodile reference).

I then added that his complaint seems to be more than about the crocodile 
reference. I was not advocating making such references in emails - far from 
it.

As far as Steve Urwin is concerned, obviously if such a reference was made 
after his death then that would be totally out of order. If it was made 
beforehand but discovered afterwards? My experience of Australian humour is 
that this would be a fairly mild comment as far as Australians go.
