Of course, all kids in the USA learn to drive as soon as they are able
(younger than here) and a DL requires a fingerprint. As does visiting
Disneyland from the UK. Different cultures...
On another point, fingerprints for the school canteen is a good way to
make sure that kids on free meals aren't overtly identified at the till;
so a benefit, perhaps.
