If you know able and enthusiastic former students/staff who may currently
be looking for some research work in the field of urban regeneration then
please read on ………..
The British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA) http://www.bura.org.uk is
currently looking to recruit researchers on short-term temporary contracts –
this may be anything from a few weeks to several months (we hope to offer
considerable flexibility around the number of days worked). The pay will be
£100 a day. Over the next few months the researcher(s) would be working on
one or more of the following:
the economic impacts of good urban design
suburban regeneration in London
regeneration hubs (community-owned buildings that house community
enterprises)
the race impacts of physical regeneration
The work will include, principally, literature review, some interviewing
and some documentary analysis. We would expect the individuals to have good
degrees and, ideally, have undertaken postgraduate study/research. The
researchers would be based at BURA (near Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube
stations) and would be involved in the overall work and social life of
BURA. There will hopefully be possibilities for longer term contracts and
work on other projects currently awaiting funding decisions. Those
interested in applying and/or discussing this further should contact me on
the numbers below or at this email address.
Best Wishes, Gareth
