Fifty-six Chinese students sang 'Jingle Bells' to this nonbeliever for
Christmas, then
awarded me a plastic plaque for my wall which says 'Best Teacher'. That's
what they said
the ancient characters said, but I wonder, full of Aussie doubt when it
comes to the generosity of others (beware_anyone_ bearing gifts ...)
Is it just coincidence that I am assessing them now? Their marks are
extremes - mumble-bums through to eloquent speakers of my tongue. I fret as
I assess them, bells ringing in my ears.
(I tried to make a Snap out of the highlight of Wednesday, but no way would
it shape into a poem, or sound right. The above is the prosaic version.I've
slipped on Mt Parnassus ...)
