"The School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures invites applications for a Senior Lectureship or Readership in German Linguistics. The post is available from August 2007. Candidates with a research specialism in any area of German linguistics are invited to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to enhance the excellence in this field for which the University is known and will contribute to the development of research activity and of teaching programmes at MA and BA level. He/She will be equipped to attract external research funding and postgraduate research students, and to contribute to PhD supervision. He/She will have a substantial record of internationally recognised research as befits the level of the post, and evidence of forward research plans, which will contribute to the maintenance of 5* quality of German Studies. Salary will be within the range £41,133 - £53,670 per annum according to relevant experience and qualifications.
