Subject: UN adopts disability convention

As you can see in the email below from Dr Linda Misek-Falkoff, one of my
colleagues, friends and disabled peers within the UN Disability Convention,
that as clearly stated the following, in which is relevant to my case and
that of other ASD's/ND's and their families and carers to be fully
'Included' now within the UN Disability Convention which is ratified and
legal from today and this has to be transfered into all policies, procedures
and practices by all 'states' across the global world within their
'equalities duties'....
"a statement on inclusion of persons with disabilities considered or treated
as "invisible" will be included."
Myself, with Dr Misek-Falkoff, Adrian Whyatt and others have all been part
and we have all pro-actively campaigned in our continous struggles to the UN
and all other UK and global Governments and public bodies in getting
'invisible' impairments, like ASD's/Neurodiversity and those living with
Mental ill health/and/or distress to enable full 'Inclusion'.
The UN Disability Convention has 'enabled' by disabled
Autistic/NeuroDiverse campaigning 'voice' have not 'excluded' me and
theartened and bullied me for having a disabled 'voice', so why does the
ERYC, Humberside Police, IPCC and others public bodies in te East Riding and
UK try and bully and abuse me and try to violate my basic human and civil
rights as a professional ASD/ND disabled person, advisor, campaigner,
(peer)advocate, community-educator and researcher?
Yours
Colin.... Linda's email below...
Spontaneous post, but feel free to share.
Dear Colleagues:in The National Disability Party and Persons With Pain
International:
Just a quick overview to report that in a few hours at the United Nations in
New York the General Assembly is expected to Adopt the International
Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities; reports to follow.
In addition to your representation through civil society participation, I am
very pleased to let you know that after intense online (Internet)
Interaction yesterday in which some of you took part in background, and all
in heart and mind...
a statement on inclusion of persons with disabilities considered or treated
as "invisible" will be included.
Coverage of the Convention in other principles and respects, with *Nothing
About Us* without us implied the human rights protection of all persons with
disabilities. But it is important that what is called "invisible"
disability (we know this a complex subject continually explored) be openly
expressed to all the Ambassadors of all the Countries at the U.N. and
Worldwide.
There is planned a live webcast (google or otherwise search of united
nations webcasts, as I do not have the e-address handy) and it will be
archived, but as well we will be there in person.
Thanking you for everything, in celebration, LDMF.
Linda D. Misek-Falkoff.
