Dear Colin Revell
Due to the staggering success of this Awares international online autism
conference, we are looking to harness the enthusiasm, skills, energy and
knowledge of all those involved to put forward a resolution to be presented
to the United Nations, UNESCO, UNICEF, the World Health Organisation and the
European Parliament declaring the following:
We, the under-signed, believe that all national governments should
establish and publish a nation-wide framework as the basis for providing
high-quality services to meet the individual needs of all people affected by
autistic spectrum disorder.
We are asking all conference delegates to this conference to sign their
approval of this resolution. Please could you respond to me by email as soon
as possible, giving your name, country and, if you wish, your position (eg
parent, speech therapist, teacher, psychologist, individual with
autism, etc) so that you can be added to the list of signatories.
In the meantime, please do continue to join in the discussions until the
conference closes at 11.59pm British time this Friday, November 10, 2006.
We aim to deliver this free online conference again next year and do hope
you will participate then.
Best wishes,
Adam Feinstein
