I did some testing just now, and it seems to be the case that it works
in windows that I originally created in the previous version of the
program, but strangely enough it would seem that any windows (in the
same project) that have been generated since the new version, have the
Reference option disabled (even in a clone of an 'old and working'
window). Any ideas?

The auto-scaling is not that essential perhaps (and would make intensity
comparisons actually harder). I am quite happy with these shortcuts
(works fine for me). One comment though: it behaves a bit strangely when
you start out with different values for the low and high limits (e.g.
when you know you won't have any negative peaks): it seems to scale
relative to the center of the selected 'y'-range rather than relative to
zero. Is this on purpose?
