Learning Development Specialist (Ref IS06/15)
£21,458 - £25,566 per annum
We are looking for a new member of the Information Services Learning
Development and Innovation Team. The team carries out work in all aspects
of furthering the use of technology to support learning within the
University and engages in research and development work in the field at a
national level.
The post will involve working with teaching staff, other learning
development specialists and colleagues within Information Services on the
planning, design and implementation of technology supported learning to
improve the quality and/or flexibility of courses; working with colleagues
from partner colleges; and contributing to project work.
A graduate in Education, Information Studies or IT with an enthusiasm for
learning technologies, you will have a keen interest in and understanding of
educational theories and good practice as applied to the use of technology.
You will be able to contribute to the delivery of workshops to academic
colleagues, the design, development and delivery of accredited courses in
eLearning/technology supported learning, as well as supporting academic
teams in their own course developments. Experienced in project working, you
will also preferably have some knowledge and experience of electronic
content development. You will have a developing interest in the application
of emerging ³Web 2.0² to learning.
You will have excellent collaborative skills and, desirably, the
demonstrable organisational ability necessary to coordinate work with
others.
