medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear all,
Can someone tell me what "in cappis" would mean? This is an instruction for
liturgical celebration for a saint's feast, and I imagine it means something
like "to be celebrated with priests wearing copes"? But I'm not finding a
definition anywhere.
Secondly, could someone please explain to me the difference between a totum
duplex and an annuale? I must distinguish between the two and I realize I'm
unable at the moment....
with all best,
cecilia
