Hello,
I have reciently decided to make the migration to using CCPNMR from Ansig.
I have however found that the rendering and redraw in CCPNMR is far far too
slow to use in my day to day NMR analysis. Not only are the redraw and
refresh rates slow, but my system hangs when trying to do simple things such
as zoom, re-contour, etc. I have been running the Open Gl version
downloaded using FINK. My current machine is a Powerbook G4 1.5 GHz PPC
(running OSX 10.4.8, 1.5 GB of RAM with a ATI Radeon 9700 Open Gl capable
graphics card).
Interstingly, these slow rendering problems are not a problem in either
Ansig or Sparky. Both of these programs run effortlessly with these
Spectra. I originally migrated to Sparky, but since I have a good deal of
data in Ansig (xpks, spectra, assignements, etc) (which cannot be easily
converted to the Sparky format), I looked to CCPNMR by the suggestion of Tom
Goddard (Sparky Creator).
Does anyone have any suggestions that might help this problem. The features
of CCPNMR are very intreguing and I would love to find a replacement for my
antiquated ANSIG for Open Gl. Thanks again for your help.
