The fourth issue of Health Economics, Policy and Law is now available on-line.
In this issue we have a guest editorial on 'academia, policy and politics' by Julian Le Grand. In the 'original article' section, there are analyses of the globalization of health services (by Richard Smith), regulation of the quality of health care (by Gwyn Bevan and Jocelyn Cornwall), and patient empowment over choice of hospital (by Karsten Vrangbaek and Katarina Ostergren).
There is also a debate section on the determinants of policy for population health (between Dan Fox, Larry Brown and Alan Maynard), and the issue finishes with a review essay on health inequalities (by Martin Powell).
