Dear List Members,
The forced migration discussion list is nearing 1000 members! The Refugee
Studies Centre and Forced Migration Online are planning to commemorate the
list by awarding a prize to the 1000th subscriber. Details will be made
available on FMO's home page: http://www.forcedmigration.org.
In the interim, I would be interested in hearing from members about how the
list has supported your work and/or professional interests. Do you have a
story to share about a successful outome that resulted from either posting to
the list or receiving information from the list? For example, an asylum case
that was granted, a research collaboration that was brought about, the perfect
job candidate that was found, the answer to a question that was posed, a
policy or regulation that was influenced, etc.
We would like to thank everyone for being a part of this list. You represent
a significant part of the forced migration research community. While the RSC
may have laid the groundwork for establishing the list eight years ago, it is
the membership that ultimately has made the list a successful mechanism for
exchanging information and promoting linkages.
Best wishes,
Elisa Mason
