Dear All,
I know many of us use spreadsheets and of course they provide us with
enormously useful files, projects and resources. However, spreadsheets have
severe limitations when it comes to storing and manipulating data. Following
a job I have been doing with a recruitment consultancy I have had to get to
grips with databases and I thought it might be useful to share two book
reviews I have written as a result of that work.
Please go to my book reviews page to see a review of a book on the FileMaker
database software and another one on the Microsoft Access2003 software: two
completely different database engines and two completely different books!
My home page: www.duncanwil.co.uk book reviews in the menu on the left
Book reviews page: http://www.duncanwil.co.uk/bookrev.htm at the time of
writing the two books you want are near the top of the page ... FileMaker
Pro 7 Bible and Microsoft Access 2003 step by step
Apologies to anyone trying to acess the OxBowBusiness quizzes recently: a
grmlin has got into the system and we are trying to repair it. If anyone
would like a specific quiz let me know and I'll forward it, off list, in PDF
format.
Best wishes
Duncan Williamson
