Not exactly. The WMS sends job specifications in RSL format to a site's
Globus gatekeeper; it is the Jobmanager backend that is responsible for
translating the abstract RSL specification into local
batch-system-specific commands.
Most JobManagers already support the various different RSL parameters
that can be expressed; the main problem at the moment is that the WMS
does not populate these fields with data from the original JDL
specification.
[ This is all for the older-style GT2 gatekeepers; I'm not familiar with
the specifics of the new-style gLite CE, but the principles should be
the same. ]
