I'd be interested if list members could add their suggestions as to which
holy wells have *reasonable* evidence for this much-sought-after (and
assumed!) but rarely found pre-christian veneration. My contribution would
be approx. contemporary with Maddy's i.e. Aqua Sulis a.k.a. Bath.
