Dear Colleagues,
On Wednesday 27th September, Dr Cristiano Germani (DAMTP, Cambridge)
will give a seminar at King's College, Department of Physics.
Time: 14h00
Place: Q135 Strand Campus, KCL
Title: Cosmic acceleration driven by mirage matter
Abstract: I will discuss cosmological models based on D3-branes moving
in 10 dimensional IIB backgrounds. I will show that inhomogeneities,
fulfilling current observational constraints, can induce an
accelerating expansion. In particular, I will propose a way to connect
the present day cosmological constant with the inhomogeneities scale of
the Universe. I will conclude by discussing some ideas about the early
time cosmology.
You are all welcome.
Regards,
Mairi
