DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY
The College at Oneonta invites applications for a tenure-track position at
the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of History. This is a
continuing position with an initial appointment of two years with a start
date of fall 2007. The expectations include instruction, research, student
advisement, college service, and continuing professional development.
Assistant Professor - Central Asia/Russia
Duties:
The teaching load is 4:4. The successful candidate will teach two sections
of world history and two upper division courses in their field of specialty
per semester. Special attention will be given to applicants who can
offer/develop additional upper level courses in some of the following areas:
ethnicities, women's history/gender, social history, economic history, and
history of Islam.
Qualifications Required:
Ph.D. at time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
College level teaching experience. Review of applications will begin
October 1, 2006 and continue until the position is filled.
