Subject: Re: more ideas and comments on other ideas
hello all,
re todays tel conf:, can we also consider including the abolition of
housing benefit which will have devastatating consequences for disabled
claimants, it is in the Bill. Further, in relation to the name of the
coalition, can people be aware there are plans for a wider anti-poverty type
coalition, using such terms in our name may therefore cause some confusion
in the future. Following, Stephen, SWAN would like to say thanks to all for
all the hard work, particulalry Simone.
regards

As a brief motif, I agree that CAWR is as good as it gets with maybe CAR
as second best.
I agree with Mike that we all have slightly different takes on this
whole plan. It is good that in the main matters we are all united, although
for me it would be great if any changes we bring about also included the
parallel one of making sure that what jobs are on offer to disabled people
are real and meaningful and not short term figure manipulation by creating
IT training for all!
We all have different ways of being involved in the process as well. As
I said, as a Chair of a union council I have certain perameters which limit
some actions, never minding the physical limitations, but it doesn't mean we
feel any less insulted by this demeaning and actually discriminatory reform.
United we are powerful.
I for one want to thank Simone for her brilliant work throughout.
