To DC libraries
An input about version:
I think dc/dcterms are missing a refinement to describe version/edition.
When we set up e.g. a Danish application profile, we don't want to use
an US specific namespace.
And if we want to use Dublin Core (seen as dc and dcterms together) as
platform for interoperability, it is not relevant to import from other
namespaces.
And "version" is a basic requirement for a metadata set - if we use
"Guidance on the Structure, Content, and Application of Metadata Records
for Digital Resources and Collections" from IFLA as source.
So my proposal is to take up the old proposal and include version as a
refinement.

The term "version" was proposed as a refinement of the DC element

The UB recommended using the element "edition" from the MODS namespace
as the term was already defined there with the same semantics. The full
