Dear All,
For those of you interested, a report is now available for download from the
Social Well-being and Social Justice (SWSJ) research cluster website of the
Geography Department of Durham University that should help to inform
working-relationships in collaborative research, and highlights ideas about
how best to ‘take forward’ this type of partnership working.
The report highlights four main themes suggested to variously constrain and
enable success in both processes and outcomes of collaborative research
(partnership working) depending on how they are managed by the actors (i.e.
Student, Supervisor, CASE partner) involved.
The document is based upon the findings of a seminar run by Durham University
Geography Department (SWSJ research cluster) in conjunction with Newcastle
University Geography Department that was held in early 2006, and six reports
written by postgraduates (see Appendix A) concerning their experiences in CASE
related working-relationships.
I welcome any comments or enquiries concerning the report (Maximising the CASE
impact: sharing experience of lessons learned for enabling effective and
productive PhD CASE studentship working-relationships).
