apologies chaps
But on the back of my fag packet I just dont see 2-3mg holding water....
by my reconing a conservative values would be 15-30mg
and you could go 100-200mgs if you use our SPOSH value of 15-20mg
sorry to be controversial.... but surely we owe it to the tax payer to consider the impact of unwarrented work as well as protection of the public.. it is a double edged sword. I think it is expected, indeed I think you can argue the SOS guidance demands, that you ask a very good and competant consutant with toxicalogical experience to look at the range of tdi/index doses and the risk levels stated in the tox reports before you committ to wildly expensive site inspections or remediation work..
Also if the action level is overly conservative it will be very difficult to access defra funding.

Subject: Re: DQRA
Hi
We recently completed a SNIFFER (2) DQRA for a Playing Field. We rewrote
the SNIFFER methodology to comply with CLEA guidance. For B(a)P we
generated an SSIV of approximately 2mg/kg.
Hope this helps.
