the University of Greenwich
... a wide range of accredited professional development opportunities in
e-learning comprising a series of blended workshops, single courses,
foundation degree, BSc in Education & Training (e-learning) and an MA in
Education (e-learning). All are designed to be of practical use to
teachers wanting to gain a better understanding of eLearning and how to

6. Invitations to tender
6.1 AHRC-EPSRC-JISC Arts and Humanities e-Science Initiative
…inviting applications for research project grants under the e-Science
Research Grants scheme. The call will support a portfolio of research
projects up to a maximum of 48 months in duration, and for between
£20,000 and £400,000 (fEC). Applications can request either a Research
Grants project, a Research Grants project with one/two studentships
attached OR an application for one/two project studentships. Closing
date: 4pm on 2 November 2006

6.2 JISC ITT: Three studies on good practice and technology-supported
approaches in recruitment and admissions
... These studies will inform future JISC work on the use of technology
to support admissions to higher education. The studies are also expected
to draw on good human resources practice in the employment sector. Work
should begin in November 2006 and the final reports delivered in March
2007. Up to £20,000 (including VAT and expenses) is available for each
study. Tenders should be submitted no later than 12:00 on 25 September
2006.

7.1 Open University, UK
The EU4ALL project is a major European project, of which the Open
University is a leading partner, developing a framework for Life-Long
Learning accessible to disabled students. We require 3 researchers to
work on the project from its start in October 2006 at the Institute of
Educational Technology, based in Milton Keynes. The deadline for
applications is Monday 4th September.
