Hi Peter,

More problems with that antiquated Solaris compiler, this time with GAIA. 
Eventually in the build I get:

It would appear that the 'inline' keyword is a C99 standard, which wasn't 
implemented in Sun WorkShop 6's initial release (it came in update 2: 
http://www.cerfacs.fr/Info/doc/Compilateurs/sun62/mr/READMEs/c.html).

Is there a solution to this that doesn't involve updating our compiler?

Oh, I notice from that document that using // is an C99 standard that came 
in with Update 2, which is why I've been having to replace them with /* 
*/ so this Solaris build will work. :-)
