Many thanks for your prompt replies to my enquiry about ICT cover for
Sunday opening.
You will interested to know that of the nineteen replies received to date,
only one authority enjoys full support; two have limited help desk cover,
and all the others replied that the costs were prohibitive.
However, the good news is that the tried and tested approach of crossed
fingers appears to work for most people most of the time; no-one reported
any case of a catastrophic system failure, although inevitably there are
occasional incidents which cannot be dealt with at the time and have to
wait until Monday.
