Hi
I have had a look at my peak list that I want to change to Hertz and by
using the "EditPeak" pop up I can convert individual peaks into Hertz, is
there a macro to perform this function on every peak in a peak list?
(An aside)
Also, I noticed that there may be a problem with this pop up (or definitely
in how I am using this popup!). When it pops up it says "current units" are
ppm (which they are), if I change "current units" to Hz then I get sensible
numbers in this table. However if I press Update this doesnt change the
values in the peak list but it does change the units, then if I try and
change them back to ppm it converts the numbers to the wrong ppm value.
i.e
1) I have a peak at 8.036ppm 124.596ppm 30.384ppm
2) I use "EditPeak" and change current units to Hz, now in the table the
values are 4822Hz 7577Hz 4585Hz which seems OK.
3) Now if I press update then the peak list remains the same.
4) As nothing had changed I thought I better convert the units back to ppm.
However if I now edit the peak again it thinks the peak has values of
8.0362Hz 124.5956Hz 30.384Hz so if I set the current units back to ppm then
it calculates this as 0.0134ppm 2.0487ppm 0.2013ppm and shifts my peak way off.
It seems to get muddled up on whether it is in Hz, ppm or points, in number
4 it thinks the values are in Hz when the numbers are ppm. Sometimes going
to points and then to ppm can restore the correct values.
Any suggestions on the best way to use this function?
Cheers
Ben
