I wrote to that, but fear it probably goes to a young girl who puts
brochures in envelopes. Is that the best there is? The site was not very
encouraging viewing, the main point they seem concerned to get over is from
"how deep" their machines can detect metal objects ...
I know Bill Wyman has been "involved with" the PAS, the press makes enough
noise about it. But there are other detectorists who have also been
"involved with" the PAS who have very noisily not supported the new Code of
Practice (and instead written their own). That's why I was wondering if
anyone had contact details.
As for the PAS, who knows what they will say about a metal detector "for
little hands"? See the PAStexplorers Anglo-Saxon village animation
http://www.pastexplorers.org.uk/ for a possible clue... but does it give the
right message to these youngsters what archaeology is about?
