As part of ongoing excavations at Wicken, Northamptonshire, a website
has been created and updated daily from the trench's edge. This project,
part of something we have termed "Digging Perspectives" aims to include
the local community and excavators in the interpretive process. The
webpage, nicknamed Wickenpedia, is editable by anyone who visits it,
giving both local and wider communities as much input into the
archaeological process as those working on site. Most importantly,
students have been given a active role in the interpretation of the
features they themselves are digging.
The website can be found at www.wicken-archaeology.org.uk
