This is exactly how I surmised in happened in my earlier posts on the
subject and that the linguists were wrong! But then my science is biology
and ecology so it was obvious (Haha: nothing is ever obvious?) really. This
is now it happens in the animal world.
There is still one point not explained by the BBC report. What language
were the natives speaking when the Germans arrived?
The same thing happened with the Romans, with a large town population
speaking Latin! Not that the linguists were ever clear about this apart
The AS Chronicle separate the Brits and the welas. I have always assumed
this was on language grounds.
This is the way immigration happens. Whether you call it an invasion or
immigration, maybe a third word? Too hot to think of one.
